Today, you are going to enjoy the Kathmandu Valley Tour – the city full of World Heritage Sites, Nepali culture, and many more to explore.
Early morning, we offer you a warm breakfast, and your sightseeing starts with our city guide. At first, you visit Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa – the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. After that, we will drive you to Patan Durbar Square. In addition, we take you to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop also nick-named as monkey temple. Finally, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square, observe Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the freak streets, and more.
Your exciting city tour finishes in the evening. Then, you take a delicious dinner and take a rest collecting energy for the upcoming adventure.
On this first day, we take a light breakfast and drive you in our private van via Kakani to Trishuli Bazaar to Syabrubesi. To reach Syabubesi, it takes 8-9 hours on drive. We drive through the dense forest, pastoral villages, terraced fields, and narrow ridges. No worries! The off-road trails offer you pristine green scenery, outstanding landscapes, incredible mountain ranges, and snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Annapurna II, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Lirung, and a few other peaks.
The whole night, we stay at Syabrubesi, enjoy delicious meals, and take restore our energy.
From Syabrubesi, our trek starts. Firstly, we climb the ridge and cross Ghopcha Khola. Ahead, we pass through the trails along the Langtang River, alpine/rhododendron forests, farmland, and rocky ridges. While walking through the forest, you feel a peaceful atmosphere and find green scenery. Even we may encounter endangered red panda, musk deer, snow leopard, monkeys, and many other animals.
Our final ascend steeply takes us to Changtang, which is well-known as Lama Hotel. We enjoy a spectacular view of streams, panoramic landscapes, and spectacular mountain ranges.
Overnight, we stay and took a rest at Lama Hotel.
Today, we take a warm breakfast at Lama Hotel and start trekking towards Langtang village. First, we pass through dense bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forestsand arrive at Gumanchowk (Riverside) alongside Langtang River. Next, we go up towards Ghora Tabela crossing the rhododendron/oak forest. Through the woods, you can see the sparkling glimpse of Langtang Lirung (7,244m).
Further, we continue our trek passing through the small villages – Thangshyap, Champki, and Gumba. Finally, we reach Langtang village. Overnight, we take shelter here.
We take a light breakfast and leave Langtang village for Kyanjin Gompa in the morning. Firstly, we climb the ridge topped by Chorten and Mani walls. Further, we cross a few streams and climb up gradually. We pass by several yak-herding villages such as Mundu, Sindum and Yampha.
Finally, we reach the majestic Kyanjin Gompa encircled by enchanting peaks – Langtang Lirung, Kyanjin Ri, Tserko Ri, and Naya Kangri. Overnight, we stay and take a rest here at Kyanjin.
This is the first acclimatization and exploration day at Kyanjin. After early morning breakfast, we hike to Tserko Ri peak. When we reach the peak, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the all-inclusive landscapes of Langtang valley and shining peaks: Langtang Lirung, Yangsa Tenji, Langtang range, and a few other peaks. You enjoy the best views from Kyanjin Ri (4,850m/16,005ft) and Tserko Ri (5,000/16,500ft) as they are the best viewpoints of Kyanjin.
Likewise, we visit the traditional Yak cheese factory and sacred Kyanjin Gompa. If you feel keen to explore more and time/climate allows, we trek to a few other peaks. Overnight, we stay and take a rest at a Guesthouse at Kyanjin Gompa.
We retrace back to Lama Hotel after taking an early breakfast. From Kyanjin Gompa, we descend along the Langtang River, enjoying the outstanding glimpse of snow-capped summits.
After a few hours of trekking, we retrace the same way back to Langtang valley and Ghora Tabela. We descend from Ghora Tabela to Gumanchowk and then to Lama Hotel through an easy trail. We stay at Lama Hotel for the night.
On this day, our trek descends to Bamboo village after a morning meal at Lama Hotel. We pass through deep rhododendron, alpine, and oak forest. We continue our trek crossing streams and suspension bridges to reach the Tamang and Sherpa settlement of Thulo Syabru – we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges. Overnight, we stay at Thulo Syabru.
We have a short trek today but plenty of time to rest and acclimatize for tomorrow’s trek to Laurebinayak Pass above 4,000m.
From Thulo Syabru, we climb up the Phulung Danda ridge, where we can enjoy the pristine views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal. Next, the trail leads us through lush woodland and small settlements to Phulung Monastery. Further, we hike onto the last ridge and arrive at Shin Gompa, which is located in the village of Chandanbari. We enjoy the Gompa’s architectural, historical, and cultural importance. After lunch, we explore the village visited the artistic Shin Gompa as well as the Gompa’s cheese factory. Overnight, we stay at Shin Gompa at Chandanbari.
Enjoying a delicious breakfast at Shin Gompa, our trek heads towards Laurebinayak. The track leads from Shin Gompa through a dense forest with a variety of flora and wildlife. Also, you have a spectacular view of the enticing peaks such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang Range, and other massifs.
After a few hours of tough climbing, we arrive at Laurebinayak Pass. Enjoy the peaceful terrain, quiet scenery, stunning sunrise-sunset views, and pristine vistas of Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, and countless other peaks. Overnight, we stay and take arrest at Laurebinayak.
On this day, we take an early warm breakfast. From Lauribinayak, we drop down to Gosaikunda, witnessing the 360-degree Himalayan range including Annapurna, Ganesh, Langtang, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, and other peaks. We continue our trek enjoying the outstanding views of a few sacred lakes of the Langtang region, such as Saraswoti Kunda, Bhairav Kunda, and Ganesh Kunda en-route.
In the end, we reach Gosaikunda – the holiest lake in this region. Many pilgrims visit this lake, worship, and take a holy bath during the Janai Purnima festival. Overnight, we stay at Gosaikunda, enjoy delicious meals, and rest.
We start our trek from Gosaikunda to Lauribinayak after a delicious breakfast. We ascend, retracing back to the previous day’s rough moraine trail. The trip continues from Laurina Pass to Helambu Valley Trail. We pass through a deep rhododendron forest with a soothing vista of luxuriant green foliage and some wild animals.
Lastly, the route descends to Ghopte along Surya Kunda. Overnight, we stay at Ghopte.
To reach from Ghopte to Tharepati, we climb uphill-downhill pathways across narrow ridges, steep rocky trails, and deep vegetation. On the Tibetan side, a tiny hilltop above the settlement offers you a relaxing view of the incredible peaks of Langtang, Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar range, and a few massifs.
From Tharepati, the route descends through the forest on the ridge to Mangen goth, a shepherd’s settlement. From the settlement, we may see Dorje Lakpa for the last time. The route continues from Mangen goth to Kyuola Bhanjyang and then descends through the deep forest to Kutumsang. Overnight, we stay at Tharepati.
Taking light and tasty breakfast, we begin our trek today. From Kutumsang, we ascend to the Jogin Danda ridge. After that, we descend to Gul Bhanjyang and climb to another ridge of Thotong and Lapcha Danda along a large motor road. The path from the ridge eventually drops to Chipping, where we take a right turn. Further, we descend a steep and narrow track to Pati Bhanjyang. From Pati Bhanjyang, we reach Chisopani in one or two hours. Overnight, we stay at Chisopani.
We enjoy a delicious breakfast at Chisopani and follow the trail to a small pass Borlag Bhanjyang (2,420m). Then, we pass through the dense forest to reach Tamang village of Mulkharka. Further, the trail descends to Sundarijal along Shivapuri National Park. Finally, from Sundarijal, we drive you for about an hour to reach Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel. Then, you can take a rest or explore the streets and markets in Kathmandu. Even you can enjoy various cuisines at different restaurants in Thamel – Nepal’s No. 1 tourist city.
On this final day, offering you a light breakfast, we transfer to the Tribhuvan International airport via our private transportation. We bid you a happy ‘Goodbye’ and wish you a safe flight.
