On this day, we will have a scenic 25-minute flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu. We will have a drive to Ghandruk immediately after landing at Pokhara Airport. We will have lunch and a basic introduction and briefing about the local cultures and traditions of the cultural village, Ghandruk. We will further have a short hike to Tadapani and rest there for the day.
One of your trek’s uphill hikes is today. Early risers should have breakfast before setting out on the Dobato route. We will pass through a thick rhododendron grove and ascend more stairs. We will arrive at Dabato after a lovely stroll along a ridgeline that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush valleys. Next morning, we will hike to Muldai View point to see the sunrise, so we will go to bed early.
A fascinating sunrise view with the sight of the golden sun emerging over the beautiful peaks covered in snow can be witnessed from the Muldai Viewpoint. After taking in this breathtaking vista, we will descend to the teahouse, eat breakfast, and then go to Khopra Danda or Khopra ridge. The seventh-highest peak in the world, Dhaulagiri, can be seen in magnificent detail from the trail’s up-and-down path through rhododendron forests. Even though it’s challenging, this is a fantastic hike, especially in the spring when wildflowers and rhododendron petals cover the trail. The trail is isolated, allowing us to appreciate the peace and be one with nature, except for a few yaks & mule trains. We will spend the night at Khopra Ridge.
We will catch the breathtaking view of the sun rising over the snow-covered summits of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiris, Hiunchuli, and other mountains. Afterward, we will have our breakfast and move towards Khayer Lake. One of our trek highlights is the trip to Khayer Lake. We must trek to the Annapurna Massif slopes to get to the lake. Khayer Lake is a revered high-altitude mountain lake encircled by mountains and glaciers. Around the edge of the lake, we can see numerous Hindu shrines. A swim in this lake is believed to purify and apologize for sins. Retracing our route, we will return to the teahouse of Khopra Ridge.
After relishing in the stunning Himalayan vista from Khopra Ridge one last time, we will descend to Swanta Village. Because it is a rocky downhill, we will walk downhill with caution. The enormous Dhaulagiri rises majestically in the distance. Enjoying the spectacular Nepalese alpine scenery with ridge-top settlements and terraced farmland, we will reach Swanta.
We will begin our hike to Ghorepani following the path that descends past a dense jungle and paddy fields. We will cross a suspension bridge over the river and ascend to Chittre. On the trail, there will be additional hikers and mule trains. To get to the settlement of Ghorepani, we will climb the carefully placed stone steps. We will stop by a teahouse and enjoy some well-earned downtime.
We will wake up early and reach the Poonhill Viewpoint to witness the breathtaking scenery of the golden rising sun over the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, bathing them in pink, crimson, and golden hues. Poonhill is one of the most well-known places to view a glimpse of the Himalayan Ranges. We can see the Himalayan giants Dhaulagiri, the Annapurna Massif, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna from here in all their magnificence. We will descend to Ghorepani, enjoy breakfast, and continue on our way to Hile. It is a challenging downhill hike that offers breathtaking natural scenery.
